Breast Reduction
Breast Augmentation
Breast reduction is a surgery designed to reduce the size of, and reshape breasts. It can be a life-changing surgery and many patients wondered why they waited so long!
It can reduce back and neck pain, make shopping for clothes easier, increase the range of sports and exercises you can do comfortably and improve overall self-esteem.
Breast augmentation surgery can bring out the new you! It can give you what you’ve never had – but always wanted, or restore something you lost after pregnancy and breast feeding. The journey through augmentation surgery can be exciting and challenging and my aim to guide you through this. I will work with you to give you a the best result possible, focusing on your own issues and desires.
Breast augmentation developed a bad reputation because of misleading information published in the media, because of lack of full disclosure about the problems that do occur and because of the negative attitudes towards cosmetic surgery. I hope this information helps answer some of your questions and address some of these issues.
Cosmetic surgery can give people a real boost in their self-esteem – but only for those people who really want the surgery for themselves! You need to be sure in yourself you are not considering breast augmentation for the wrong reasons, and that the risk of the above problems make it still worth it for you. Most women who undergo this surgery are very happy they did.

Breast reconstruction can be a life-changing and life affirming surgery. It is not for everyone, and there is no ‘right’ time or ‘right’ operation that suits all women, but if the time is right and the operation is carefully considered and selected it will add a huge amount to your quality of life!
There are many different types of breast reconstruction available. Only a Plastic Surgeon can offer you all the types possible and discuss these fully with you. If you would like to be fully informed about all your options please contact me for a discussion.
The choice to have breast reconstruction is yours to make. I hope this information will help you make your decision. Try to learn as much as you can before you decide what to do. No one source of information can give you every fact or give you all the answers. You and those close to you should talk to your health care team about any questions and concerns you have about this type of surgery.
